Submission Policy

Nightgrave prioritizes submissions made by established literary agents. Unagented authors may also use the official submission form, but unsolicited projects are reviewed only at Nightgrave’s editorial discretion. A submission package may include the manuscript, legal or pen name, email address, author biography, pitch, synopsis, word count, genre, audience, website, and optional social-media links.

Do not include Social Security numbers, banking information, passwords, government identification, medical records, or other unnecessary sensitive information in a manuscript package.

The author retains ownership of the submitted manuscript. Sending material to Nightgrave does not assign, license, or transfer copyright or publishing rights.

A submission is an invitation to evaluate the work only. Any publishing relationship, rights grant, royalty arrangement, or other obligation must be stated in a separate written agreement signed by Nightgrave and the author.

Submission does not guarantee review, representation, an offer, or publication. Nightgrave’s response window is approximately four to six weeks. If no response is received after six weeks, the submission should be considered declined.

Nightgrave is a selective traditional press. It does not charge reading fees and does not require authors to purchase publishing packages as a condition of consideration.

Nightgrave does not accept manuscripts written or rewritten, in whole or in part, by generative AI. Every submitting author must answer the AI-use disclosure truthfully and certify that answer. A false disclosure may result in rejection or withdrawal of an offer.

Submission information is used to receive, organize, evaluate, discuss, and respond to manuscript proposals; maintain editorial records; prevent abuse; and administer a potential publishing relationship.

Nightgrave does not sell submitted manuscripts or authors’ contact information. Access is limited to authorized Nightgrave personnel and service providers needed to operate and secure the submission system.

Manuscript files and submission records are stored through Nightgrave’s website hosting services and are not intentionally displayed on the public website. Reasonable safeguards are used, but no online system can be guaranteed completely secure.

Nightgrave may retain a submission for as long as reasonably necessary for editorial review, communication, security, and recordkeeping. Authors may request withdrawal or deletion by emailing the address below with their submission reference number. Certain limited records may be retained when reasonably required for legal, security, or administrative purposes.

Questions, corrections, withdrawal requests, and deletion requests should be sent to nightgravepublishing@gmail.com. Include the manuscript title and submission reference number so the correct record can be located.

Nightgrave may update this policy as its publishing and submission operations develop. The effective date below identifies the current version.
